Technica has been providing technology integration, professional services, products, and innovative technology solutions to defense, intelligence, law enforcement, and civilian agencies since 1991. We specialize in network operations and infrastructure; cyber defense and security; government application integration; software development and support; systems engineering and training; and product deployment planning, and support. We are looking for talented candidates to fill positions within our summer engineering and/or general internship program. This is an opportunity for students who are interested in learning the mechanics of a federal contracting engineering company and expanding upon technical and general knowledge, skills and abilities. This role requires a zest for learning and a willingness to work on varied tasks and projects. Our ideal candidates are highly organized, detail-oriented, follow deadlines, juggle multiple tasks, take initiative, and can manage own workload. Selected individuals will have the opportunity to be submitted for a Secret Clearance.

 

  • Commit to a 40-hour workweek
  • Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, which includes arriving on time for designated work and notifying the assigned supervisor of any deviations from the established schedule
  • Communicate effectively with immediate supervisor and Intern Coordinator any issues that may affect the performance of assigned responsibilities or the overall success of the experience
  • Accept and apply feedback and suggestions to daily work in an effort to become more productive and/or efficient
  • Attend meetings and interact with staff in a professional and ethical manner
  • Join and contribute to intern learning events
  • Complete and discuss with the Intern Coordinator mid-course and final intern program evaluations
  • Perform additional job-related duties and responsibilities, as requested

 

  • Must be a US citizen and clearable
  • Must be currently enrolled in a university, or soon to be graduated
  • Excellent general communication and networking skills
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and research skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Basic understanding of technology and business process
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Solid organizational skills, especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
